or in English”Hello”.

Imagine a computer completing a task before your brain could. This is quite possible with the developments in Quantum Computing.

What is a Quantum Computer?
A quantum computer is a computer that makes direct use of quantum mechanical phenomena, such as superposition and entanglement, to perform operations on data. The basic principle behind quantum computation is that quantum properties can be used to represent data and perform operations on these data.

Clear as Mud right?

Essentially the power lies within its key difference to regular computing involving Bits vs qubits

The computers we know are based on an information building blocks called a BIT. A bit can be set to either one of two states. On or Off, this is known as binary.

A quantum computer uses an information building block called a QUBIT. A qubit can be in any one of an infinite number of superpositions of two states at the same time! This means that a quantum computer can solve problems by testing many possible solutions simultaneously.

Say you were back in the middle school days of dodge ball, it is down to you and Kyle, the strongest kid in the class (he was held back 2 years). He has all the dodgeballs on his side of the court and he is seeking to get you out. If you operated in binary you could only be in 1 of 2 different spots leaving his odds of tattooing a dodge ball across your face pretty high. But if you operated under quantum theory using qubits you can be in one of infinite positions thus improving your odds by an astronomical amount. So Kyle misses and you get the ball and zero in on the target and win the game. Now imagine billions of those situations where you defeat Kyle every second.

That is a lot of computing power. Faster than you can think! Faster than you can imagine…
