HTC Aria

I had a friend who kept having the problem with her HTC Aria. Randomly the phone would cease to notify of incoming text messages with a vibrate. So the simplest way to solve it was a hard reset and she only had recently gotten her phone so it was not a big deal. So the problem was solved…for now. Then just the other day the phone continued with the same symptoms as before. Since she had been using the phone so long I did not want to force her through the pain and struggle of re-syncing all the contacts and applications she had accumulated. So I looked for another solution and here is what I found, it is simple and will only take a couple seconds and will not require a hard reset of the phone.

Solution:

Simply download the following application: Sound Manager

Then set text messages to vibrate and the problem should be solved.
